The Creative Literary Studio has just posted online an article in which I discuss the translation of Haroldo Conti’s South-East, which went on to the Library of Translation shelf in June 2013.

For those interested in Conti, in literature or in translation, and particularly those who enjoy looking at the “same” text in two languages and placed side-by-side, the article may be of interest.

Eugenia_and_ManuelaWith thanks to Eugenia Loffredo and Manuela Perteghella for starting this innovative forum for the discussion of creative translation. You can hear the pair discuss their work in the University College London series Between the Lines, for which they were interviewed in 2013.
